Software Engineer-Development (JAVA)

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with the Development Lead on design, implementation approach, and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with Product to understand requirements, provide effort estimates and provide technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance features in the Dealmaker application (Java Swing UI + Java EE backend).
• Write and maintain unit test cases and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve client-reported support tickets (bug fixes, data issues, performance concerns).
• Build, maintain, and integrate REST APIs and related services.
• Work with databases including Oracle, SQL (queries, stored procedures as needed, data validation).
• Use existing engineering tooling and workflows including Eclipse IDE, Version control System, and JFrog artifact repository.
• Participate in Agile (standups, grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

• 3 to 4 Years of Strong hands-on experience with Java SDK and Java EE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Hibernate framework.
• Experience with EJB and enterprise backend development.
• Prior experience working on Java Swing desktop applications (UI development and debugging).
• Experience working with JBoss Application Server (deployments, configuration basics, troubleshooting). any application server (JBOSS or IBM or any other)
• Solid SQL skills with Oracle.
• Experience building/consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience writing unit tests and supporting maintainable, testable code.
• Practical experience in an Agile software development lifecycle.
• Ability to analyse issues end-to-end and communicate clearly with Product and Support team 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with legacy tooling such as CVS (or ability to adapt quickly).
• Experience with JFrog Artifactory (publishing/consuming artifacts).
• Experience in a product environment involving client support tickets and SLAs.
