Senior Software Engineer - Test Automation

What You Will Do

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript or Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building robust end-to-end automation suites, improving test reliability, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Playwright.
• Design and improve scalable automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) architecture.
• Build reusable, modular, and data-driven test components.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Debug, analyze, and resolve automation test failures efficiently.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality coverage.
• Experience or working knowledge of Playwright MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude for automation development and productivity improvement.
• Contribute to automation best practices, framework improvements, and process optimization.

Who you are:-

• Must have experience of 6 to 8 years in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright / Selenium Web driver with Java.
• Exposure to API testing (or performance testing) is a must. 
• Good at Core Java programming and OOPs concepts.
• Understanding of different flavors of test automation frameworks & entire eco-system around it.
• Good exposure to regression / smoke test automation and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving, analytical ability.
• Good at written/verbal communication and should be able to work collaboratively in a team.
