Senior Software Engineer - Development

What You Will Do:

•  Full understanding of the Agile SDLC and the Scrum process.
• Mentor knowledge growth and code review for team members.
• Complete software lifecycle involvement from grooming, design, development through deployment and support.
• Exercise independent judgment to determine issue and resolution. Participates with team in identifying root cause and issue resolution.
• Creation of interactive applications with high visibility within customer organizations.
• Stored procedure and database design and implementation.
• Build enhancements within existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality code.
• Responsible for providing time estimation for coding tasks and ensuring proper test coverage.
• Write code required to implement features as defined in functional requirements, enhancement requests and defect reports.
• Participate in code and architecture design in conjunction with colleagues across the company.
• Develops software, conducts unit testing, works with assigned client project manager to coordinate / assist in user testing procedures.
• Other duties as defined by Mediaocean Manager/Management.  

Who you are:

•  At a minimum, a Bachelors degree is required; anything higher is a plus.
• 4-6 Years’ development experience.
• Good understanding of OOP and software design skills.
• .Netcore, EF core, Web APIs, C#
• SQL and Database Design on a major RDBMS platform e.g. SQL Server & T-SQL, Oracle & PL/SQL.
• Angular  
• Familiarity with standard development tools such as Visual Studio, Git/SVN, NuGet, Bower, NPM, Jira, Continuous Integration Tools (Hudson, Jenkins) a plus.

• An independent thinker able to provide multiple perspectives on problems.
• Ability to identify root cause and provide solution.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and help ramp up the team. 

Good To Have:

• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor etc.) to improve productivity, accelerate development, assist with debugging, and enhance code quality through AI-assisted coding.
