Manager - Test Automation

What you will do:-

• As part of our core test automation team, which serve majority of our platform applications/teams as a horizontal – you will interact with members across multiple functions, i.e. developers, QAs, product, ops & devops. 
• Lead planning and delivery of automation for new features, including smoke and regression suites.
• Define and own the test automation strategy and roadmap aligned with business and engineering goals.
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain automated tests (both API & UI) using existing frameworks.
• Own and enhance existing test frameworks, ensuring scalability, stability, and best practices.
• Establish and track automation KPIs, coverage metrics, and quality dashboards.
• Work with developers, QAs to understand features and technical implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical and process improvements within the team

Who you are:-

• 12-16+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• 3-5+ years of experience in people management or technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with UI automation using Selenium.
• Solid experience in API automation (RestAssured, Karate, etc.).
• Proficient in Java (or similar OOP language) and automation design patterns.
• Experience building or owning test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / DevOps environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
