Who We Are
Prisma is the trusted industry platform powering the future of advertising. We connect media, technology, and data to enable marketers and agencies to plan, buy, and measure across all channels—with precision, automation, and intelligence. Our AI-driven solutions optimize workflows, unlock insights, and deliver measurable outcomes for the world’s leading brands and agencies.
\We're looking for a VP of Business Development to serve as the external growth engine for Prisma's buy-side partnerships. You'll work directly with buy-side clients, including agencies and brands, to identify and develop revenue opportunities, secure new high-value clients, and expand existing relationships. Working side-by-side with Product Marketing, Customer Success, and cross-functional teams, you'll help strengthen Prisma's buy-side relevance and drive measurable growth. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
What you will do:
- Lead buy-side business development through deal closure — Serve as the single point of accountability for new business development and deal progression, building and progressing a robust pipeline with quantifiable revenue impact.
-
Drive new business — Leverage your network, industry events, and market intelligence to secure buy-side accounts and expand adoption within existing clients.
-
Be the evangelist — Develop and deliver persuasive narratives showing how Prisma drives measurable outcomes, media efficiency, and operational impact for agencies and brands.
-
Navigate the evolving buy-side landscape — Understand the interplay between agency-led and brand-direct models to identify the right engagement approach for each client relationship.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally — Partner with Product Marketing on GTM strategies; partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth post-sale transitions by providing deal context, client objectives, and strategic background; and serve as the voice of the buy-side client with Product to inform roadmap decisions.
-
Lead joint business planning with buy-side client leadership to set shared goals, success metrics, and activation plans.
-
Represent Prisma at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership forums.
-
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting within Salesforce, providing leadership with clear visibility into opportunity progression and revenue projections.
Who you are:
-
8 years in ad tech business development with buy-side expertise across ad technology (DSP, ad server, measurement), data providers (currency, verification, outcomes), and/or major agencies or advertisers
-
Deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem from a buy-side perspective — credible with agency leadership, brand marketers, and in-house media teams
-
Strong commercial acumen — proven track record translating relationships into revenue
-
Exceptional communicator and storyteller — operates effectively within matrixed organizations and influences senior stakeholders
-
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically and lead transformative initiatives
-
Intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, and collaborative — thrives in fast-paced environments
-
Existing network within major agencies, advertisers, and brands preferred
-
BA/BS in Media, Advertising, IT, Business, or equivalent experience
-
SaaS experience preferred
What success looks like:
- Pipeline Growth — Robust buy-side pipeline with measurable revenue impact
-
Enterprise Deals — Securing strategic, high-value agreements with priority buy-side clients, including enterprise-wide platform commitments and multi-brand expansions
-
Revenue Influence — Demonstrable client ROI through Prisma adoption, with clients recognizing tangible improvements in media efficiency and workflow automation
-
Revenue Growth & Strategic Value — Expanding Prisma's buy-side revenue through new client acquisition and deal expansion, while positioning Prisma as an indispensable platform that clients view as a driver of quantifiable business outcomes—not just a software expense
-
Strategic Depth — Prisma becomes a critical part of the client's operational stack, integrated into their planning, buying, and measurement workflows with clear improvements in efficiency and decision-making
- Adoption Acceleration — Seamless hand-off of new client relationships to Customer Success, who owns ongoing client engagement. BD remains a consulted stakeholder, providing deal context and market intelligence to support adoption and identify future expansion opportunities
