The Vice President of FP&A will serve as a strategic finance leader and key partner to the CFO and executive team. This role will lead financial planning, forecasting, performance analytics, and strategic modeling in a high-growth SaaS environment with Private Equity sponsorship and IPO experience.

The ideal candidate combines deep SaaS operating metrics expertise, capital markets readiness, and PE-driven performance rigor. This leader will build scalable processes, drive accountability across the organization, and deliver actionable insights to support value creation and long-term growth.

 

What you will do:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead company-wide annual planning, long-range planning (LRP), and rolling forecasts.
  • Partner with the CFO on board materials and other management reporting
  • Support IPO readiness, including public-company forecasting standards and external reporting alignment.
  • Drive Private Equity value-creation initiatives, including KPI tracking and EBITDA optimization.

SaaS Metrics & Performance Analytics

  • Own SaaS KPI framework including ARR, churn, and pipeline conversion
  • Build cohort analyses and customer profitability models.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations and Sales Leadership on bookings forecasts and pipeline analytics.
  • Support pricing strategy, GTM investment modeling, and capacity planning.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as strategic finance partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, R&A, Customer Success, and Operations.
  • Translate financial data into insights that influence operational decisions.
  • Develop financial dashboards and executive reporting packages.
  • Drive cross-functional accountability through KPI transparency.

Team Leadership & Infrastructure

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Implement scalable systems and processes (ERP, planning tools, BI platforms).
  • Enhance financial data integrity and automation.
  • Establish best practices for forecasting accuracy and reporting cadence.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior FP&A leadership.
  • Deep experience in SaaS or recurring revenue business models.
  • Demonstrated experience in Private Equity-backed environments.
  • Direct involvement in IPO readiness or public company reporting strongly preferred.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel expertise; experience with tools such as Adaptive, NetSuite or similar.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-level stakeholders.

Location is flexible for the right candidate; Chicago slightly preferred. Our current budget for this role is approximately $300,000 TCC.
