The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's tax function, with a focus on corporate income tax compliance, transfer pricing, sales tax, and R&D tax credit optimization. This individual will play a key role in scaling our global tax infrastructure and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This is a highly visible role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax and providing guidance for the broader finance team. We are looking for a team player with a positive “can do” attitude.

 

What You Will Do:
 

  • Manage the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, including the annual tax provision processes under ASC 740.
  • Design, develop and implement  tax planning strategies for a global entity, including domestic and foreign operations
  • Oversee and enhance the company’s global transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and intercompany arrangements in coordination with international operations.
  • Lead annual R&D tax credit studies, including gathering supporting documentation, conducting eligibility analysis, and partnering with engineering
  • Maintain tax compliance calendar and ensure timely and accurate tax filings across all jurisdictions.
  • Monitor tax law changes and assess implications for our business.
  • Work closely with external advisors, auditors, and consultants to manage filings and defend tax positions during audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support M&A activity, business expansions, and entity structuring from a tax perspective.
  • Establish deep business partner relationships across the organization to ensure company strategy and projects include a thorough review of tax consequences

Who You Are:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or in-house corporate tax roles (preferably in the technology space)
  • Proven experience with transfer pricing compliance and documentation
  • Knowledge of R&D tax credit rules and related documentation requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. corporate tax, international tax principles, and ASC 740
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, fully owning the tax function
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and a reviewer
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and tax accounting
  • On top of developing tax trends and being able to anticipate future tax needs

Compensation for this role is between $155,000 and $180,000 plus bonus, commensurate with experience. Hybrid work schedule expected.
